David Kovac is a classically trained actor and former street juggler who specializes in combining original, intelligent humor with cleverly crafted magical routines. The results are fascinating feats involving newspapers, numbers, Rubik’s Cubes, secret envelopes, and the world’s most impossible card tricks – a contemporary take on the timeless “Suitcase Act.”

Based in Chicago for over a decade, David Kovac has presented his Random Acts of Magic in every kind of venue from the popular Millennium Park and Navy Pier to the stages of Second City and the legendary Green Mill. The Chicago Tribune named him one of their Top Five Trickster Heroes, referring to him as “a Wizard of Odd who places art before effect and turns simple tricks into theatrical presentations ...”

David Kovac has played the role of magical emcee and corporate spokesperson nationally and internationally, and his distinctive voice and likeness have been featured in numerous television and radio commercials. His Modern-Day Vaudevillian act has been showcased at the famed Magic Castle in Hollywood and in New York City’s long running hit, Monday Night Magic.
